Kent Law (formerly Brennan Tipple Partners)
was founded on two guiding principles.

We believe that legal practice is about relationships, not transactions.

The best legal advice is given by a lawyer who has invested the time to get to know you. When your lawyer knows you well, their advice can go beyond the simple question of the law and talk strategically to the best answer for your circumstances.

We also believe that lawyers have an important role to play in their community. We’re proud to be part of the stories of so many Central Coast families and businesses. And we’re proud of what we’ve been able to give back to this community through pro bono work.

Ivan Kent

Ivan has always enjoyed applying a broad, logical approach to helping people solve puzzles.

In his earlier career as an IT project manager, Ivan was trained to consider multiple points of view, while assessing the strengths and weaknesses of competing positions. It was his job to bring all that together and come up with the best course of action.

He brings that experienced, pragmatic eye to his legal practice.

Ivan has a reputation for forming lasting relationships with his clients. He combines his knowledge of a client’s situation and goals, with legal expertise filtered through a commercial sense which he has honed over years in business.

By going over and above simply applying the law, Ivan’s clients always get advice which is tailored to their individual story.

In addition to being a solicitor, Ivan is a nationally accredited mediator and a notary public.

Ivan is currently the President of the Central Coast Law Society.

Christel Ong

Solicitor

Christel finished her Juris Doctor and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Newcastle. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management from the Philippines.

She is an experienced solicitor in Conveyancing and Wills & Estates and is currently expanding her practice in Family Law.

Her teaching and project management background in the Philippines nurtured her proficiency to explain complex and highly technical legal terms into simple and plain english.

Christel’s passion in law and legal practice is driven by her desire to effectively represent the legal profession in the community.

She wants to use the law as a tool to help people navigate through legal issues in the most cordial way rather than the adversarial way.

  • Nicole Chislett

    Nicole has been with Kent Law Group/Brennan Tipple Partners for 17years since in 2007 when she arrived as a Paralegal Secretary with 11 years previous experience in Family Law, Criminal Law, Probate, Victims Compensation, Workers Compensation and Conveyancing. It wasn’t long and Nicole was promoted to Accounts Manager where she has taken on the sole responsibility position of handling our Trust Accounting, Controlled Monies, General Accounting, End of Month Reports, End of Year Rollover and the Payroll.

    Nicole attended a local high school where she completed her HSC and has worked in various Law Firms ever since leaving School in Year 12.

    Nicole is a mother of 2 very active boys who are heavily involved in their local sporting community. In Nicole’s spare time she plays Touch Football and attends several dance classes each week in Jazz, Hip Hop & Modern Ballet.
